What is it?

A procedure which involves the heating of a probe by radiowaves selectivly destroying nerve roots responsible for pain. This is often performed if previous injections have provided pain relief and is a permanent form of pain relief.

How long will I be in hospital?

Nearly all patients enter the hospital as an out patient for injections, you go in for the injection and leave once its done.

How long does it last

Relief from symptoms can last anywhere from a few weeks to a year. Often relief from symptoms in instant but it may take up to a week to take effect.
